Sebastien Bordeaux is an internationally renowned Americana artist, from Nashville, TN, whom is making notable impact in the music scene with his captivating vocal tonality and deeply resonant lyrics. With one full-length album and a 3-song 45 RPM release under the esteemed Wild Records, he is set to release his highly anticipated second full-length album in late 2025.

 

Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of roots music, Sebastien’s songwriting transcends traditional themes, exploring a whirlwind of emotions that resonate with a diverse audience. His music navigates the spectrum from pain and sorrow to joy, self-discovery, acceptance, and lost love, making it relatable for listeners from all walks of life. Often compared to a holy trinity of iconic artists like Hank Williams, Buddy Holly, and Patsy Cline, Sebastien's androgynous vocal tone blurs gender lines, adding a unique flavor to his performances that fans adore.

 

His recent vinyl release garnered support from Jello Biafra of the legendary Dead Kennedys and Alternative Tentacles record company, showcasing Sebastien's growing influence in the industry. He has toured extensively with roots music luminary Wayne “the Train” Hancock, playing alongside talented musicians such as Bob “Texaco” Stafford and Chris Casello. Over the past four years, Sebastien has completed ten tours with Hancock, managing merchandise and team logistics while raising crucial donations for his childhood hero during challenging times. This mentorship has allowed Sebastien to perform his original songs on stage with Hancock, a rare honor that speaks to his talent and dedication. Sebastien also lived in northwest Arkansas where he was exposed to bluegrass music a vigorously cut his teeth playing with bands from the region. 

 

Sebastien’s sound is a vibrant blend of old-time genres, including traditional country, rhythm and blues, western swing, hillbilly bop, jazz, soul, and mid-century rock ‘n’ roll. Imagine a collaboration between The Blasters, Wayne Hancock, and Pokey LaFarge, and you’ll start to understand the essence of his music. 

 

On tour, Sebastien showcases two distinct band configurations: a lively 4-piece electric roots band and a more intimate 3-piece string band. Both setups deliver high-energy performances that engage audiences, whether they’re grooving on the dance floor or soaking in the soulful melodies.

 

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Sebastien also fronts for Chris Casello at Robert’s Western World, a prestigious honky-tonk known for hosting only the finest purveyors of traditional roots music. This residency further underscores his ambition and musicianship in the competitive Nashville scene.

 

Sebastien has graced numerous festivals across Japan, Mexico, the USA, and Europe, including notable events like Viva Las Vegas, High Rockabilly, and Rock Around the Atomium. His international tours have solidified his reputation, with returning invitations from enthusiastic fans around the globe.

 

His audience spans generations and subcultures, from punk enthusiasts to bluegrass aficionados, ensuring that his music resonates with everyone from casual listeners to serious dancers. Live shows are a dynamic experience, with crowds swaying to haunting ballads and stomping to upbeat rock ‘n’ roll numbers, creating a shared emotional journey.

 

Sebastien’s band features industry legends like Bob “Texaco” Stafford on guitar and trombone, Chris Casello on lead guitar and steel guitar, and Lil' Jimmy Lester on drums, among others. 

 

In recognition of his talent, Sebastien was nominated for 'Bass Player of the Year' at the Arkansas State Country Music Awards, narrowly missing the title to the extraordinary bass player of Jack White.
