About

Sebastien Bordeaux is a talented multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter known for his work in various music genres such as blues, rock 'n' roll, Americana, hillbilly swing/bop, rockabilly, jazz, and country. He has gained recognition as an international touring musician, showcasing his skills and captivating audiences around the world.

 

Bordeaux released his debut album under the WILD Records label, showcasing his unique blend of musical styles. In addition to his solo work, he has collaborated with renowned artists and bands like Wayne "the train" Hancock, where he plays the stand-up bass for the King of Juke Joint Swing. Sebastien Bordeaux's bass skills contribute to the rich sound and energetic performances of Wayne Hancock's shows.

 

Aside from his collaborations with Wayne Hancock, Bordeaux has also played with other notable musicians and groups, including Chucky Waggs and the Company of Raggs and Sprungbilly, a beloved bluegrass band from Northwest Arkansas.

 

Sebastien Bordeaux's musical style often pays homage to the sounds of the 1940s blues, 1950s rock 'n' roll, and Americana ballads, blending elements from different eras to create a unique and captivating sound.

 

His talent and dedication to his craft have led to extensive touring experiences. Bordeaux has toured across the United States multiple times with Wayne Hancock and has enjoyed successful tours in Japan and Europe. Furthermore, he continues to plan and organize overseas tours each year, expanding his reach and sharing his music with audiences worldwide.

 

Recognizing his exceptional skills as a bassist, Sebastien Bordeaux has been nominated for the "Bassist of the Year" award at the 2023 State of Arkansas Country Music Awards, a testament to his musical prowess and contributions to the industry.

Through his various side work on upright bass around the world, Sebastien achieved recognition in his current home state for his skill, ambition and love for his craft. Bordeaux has put meticulous care into cultivating his musical talents and support of other legendary and rising musicians.

Other achievements

-2 succesful Japanese tours

-1 succesfull European tour with another being planned in the spring of 2024.

-Signed to Wild Records currently.

-Album release at the notable Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Festival in 2022

-Debut appearance at the famous High Rockabilly Festival in Calafell, Spain

-2021 Sebastien Bordeaux was picked up to play upright bass for American treasure and legend Wayne 'the train' Hancock. Hancock is noted for strictly surrounding himself with the most reputable musicians and artists which speak of Bordeaux's vast skill and talent beyond being a song-writer and guitar player.

-Sebastien Bordeaux was recently picked up by, Daniel Mason, the prodigy banjo player for Hank Williams III. He will be standing side by side with this well respected and cherished musician and songwriter on tours to come.
